Rocking Salt Lake: Power Plus Productions Returns to Kilby Block Party 2024

From May 10–12, 2024, Salt Lake City came alive with sound, lights, and unforgettable performances at the iconic Kilby Block Party—and Power Plus Productions was thrilled to be back for our third consecutive year supporting this electrifying celebration of music and community!

Kilby Block Party started in 2019 as a humble street fest honoring Kilby Court, the city’s longest-running all-ages venue. Today, it has evolved into a nationally recognized, multi-stage music festival hosted at the Utah State Fairpark, drawing fans from across the country to experience an incredible lineup of indie legends and rising stars.

This year’s festival lineup was stacked with powerhouse acts like LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Interpol, Santigold, and 100 Gecs—and we were proud to be the team helping their sound shine.

Full-Scale Audio Support That Hits Every Note

Partnering once again with our friends at S&S Presents, our crew brought in top-tier equipment and engineering expertise to ensure flawless audio for the festival’s main stages. Using a world-class system of L-Acoustics, Avid, and DiGiCo, we created immersive audio environments for every performance, complemented by strategically placed delay speakers that made sure the sound carried crystal clear from front row to back fence.

BackBeats Backline: Supporting the Stars

Our very own BackBeats Backline was also onsite, providing high-quality backline gear to support some of the biggest acts in the industry. Whether it was vintage amps, custom drum kits, or specialty keys, we had the equipment (and the techs) to meet even the most demanding rider.

A Celebration of Sound, Culture, and Community

Kilby Block Party is more than a music festival—it’s a love letter to the Utah music scene. As a proud member of this growing creative community, Power Plus Productions is honored to contribute to the continued success and evolution of the event. With all-ages access and a spirit rooted in local culture, it’s the kind of show that reminds us why we do what we do.
