Staff Accountant

Role Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Main duties involve invoicing, bill pay, full cycle accounts receivable, reconciliation, communicating with customers via phone and email, receiving and inputting orders through QuickBooks. For the interim, this person will also maintain the front office and provide general office administration. The role includes operating office equipment, answering phones, and responding to emails. This person will also be responsible for booking travel. Experience with the entertainment, live events, or A/V industries a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and data entry
  • Answer and route calls and emails
  • Organize and file physical and digital documents
  • Assist accounting with AR/AP/HR tasks as necessary
  • Maintain and stock office supply inventory, placing orders as necessary
  • Greet visitors, receive and deliver mail and packages
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of main office and break room
  • Coordinate vendors and housekeeping crews
  • Facilitate on-boarding and orientation of new hires
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skill Requirements

  • General business administrative skills
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office 365, and the Google office suite
  • Typing and word processing, spreadsheets and data entry
  • General knowledge of warehouse operations
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Superior communication skills
  • Client facing personality with customer service skills
  • Writing and proofreading skills a plus
