Repair Technician – Salt Lake City, UT
Role Description
The LED/AV Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic and electrical equipment used in the events production industry. Candidates should be familiar with stage lighting, sound gear, and LED screens, with the ability to solder electrical components and circuit boards. This individual will have experience repairing LED panels, lighting instruments, and various audio/visual components. Primary duties will be maintaining and repairing equipment in our warehouse but will need to be available for occasional travel. Other duties include setting up and breaking down LED walls on site.
Responsibilities
- Test and troubleshoot LED video parts and components
- Set up and remove LED wall on show sites
- Repair damaged LED video modules, including soldering pixels
- Test and troubleshoot other audio, video, and lighting equipment as needed
Skill Requirements
- Soldering/Repair experience on PCB board, computer electronics, micro chips
- Strong hand soldering skills
- 1 year of LED repair experience
- 2 years of repair experience within the AV/LED industry preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to translate pixel mapping onto LED wall
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to communicate quickly and effectively
- Ability to work in a high stress, rapidly changing environment
- Solutions-based, team player with a positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and place up to 50 pounds as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment into trucks
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
